Relationship Reflection

Relationship with my Parents

My mom and dad are my foundation. They have given so much love throughout my life that I can say I am so fortunate to always feel secure and loved. They always tell me that I can be anything that I want to be and I am capable to capturing the world in my hands. Our relationship has always been strong and honest because we share everything. I do not have any secrets from my parents, which is not easy for me to say because even though I tried sometimes out of embarrassment  they always guided me to the right path of honesty. I have so many memories of my walks to school during elementary years. My mom buying me afternoon snacks and checking my homework. My dad use to ask me and my brother what we learned today. He did that all the way of to college because he always said he wanted to make sure his money and time was serving us well. My parents are just wonderful and they continue to nurture me even as a married women with a child. They are here for me forever in every possible way. My parents also watch my son so me and my husband can complete our schoolwork. They care and they want the best for me and for that I will be forever grateful.

My Partnership with my Husband Foizal

My Husband and I have been married for four years now, we have a wonderful son together. We have had our ups and downs but we always work everything out. He is my life partner and share everything with him. Our relationships has brought me so much joy and love. We encourage each other day by day to achieve everything that we are working towards. He is my support system and I am his. This partnership allows to be able to talk about what is going on in my life and then listen to an opinion that I value to lead me in the right direction. My husband is my confidant and I love him and respect him so much.

My Brother Lennox

We have a relationship  that is out of this world. We have lots of love for each other but we can also go at it like crazy. He is the person that keeps me in check if I am heading the wrong way. He does not sugar coat anything and always let me know how he feels straight up. My brother and I are not subtle to each other. We say it as it comes to our mouth. He is also someone that I respect a lot because I have always followed in his footsteps and wanted to be like as I grew up. we are close because it is only the two of us and we are comfortable with who are and what we have become. I am proud to have a brother that is so much into my life that he can keep me grounded.

My son Kaden

He is my pride and joy! He is my new look at life. When you think things can't get better you can watch him play around the house and your world seems at peace. He is my go to person that makes me feel more loved and wanted everyday. He teaches and shows me how strong I need to  be when he needs me. This relationship is so special to me because he is counting on me to set the right examples and make his world livable. I hope I can make him proud.

My Co-workers

I work with all women and we all know that can be difficult. We have a partnership because we all have the same focus and we working towards accomplishing that. The children are what keeps us going and the day to day support as we share and exchange knowledge. It is nice to have people that are working in the same field with you that you can trust to guide you in the right directions. We watch each other back and most of time give constructive criticism. We strive for the best in order to help our children here develop to their full potential, so we have to be hard on each other. But we also commend and recognize each staff members efforts as we go along.

Insights and Thoughts

These relationships are important to me because over time they have become partnerships. We all work together to maintain and build our relationships. It is not easy to always to take care of everyone that you love. Sometimes feelings are hurt but if you have a real partnership you can look the other way and remember all the good times. These relationships are important to me because they keep me grounded and level headed. Without all these individuals I would be lost and lonely. My journey and my future success is a reflection of all the love and support that I have around me. As we all grow and mature together it feels really good to have people around me that want me to reach my full potential in life. These relationship have given the best foundation to form more effective relationships as I have grown throughout my professional life. I have seen what it takes to make partnership work and how much respect is needed to maintain it over the years. I look at children and families as people that will be apart of my life forever. They can depend on me for whatever advice they may need or even just to have a friendly chat when they are feeling down. My professional relationship are for the benefit of the families and the children, they need to know they have someone that is dedicated to helping them achieve their goals for their child's education.

  1. Natasha, you sound like you have a wonderful family. It is great that you and your parents have remained close. Reading your post made me wish I had such a connection with my blood relatives, but I also realized that I have been fortunate to make my own extended family with the same unconditional love and support. Having a secure base really does help us step out into the world with confidence.

To me family is the most important relatonship one can have. I am still close with my parents as well. It doesn't matter how old we are we still need our parents. Like you it is just me and my brother, but I"m the oldest. You have a beautiful family. Thanks for sharing.

  3. Natasha,
It sounds like you are surrounded by amazing people. I also value my relationship with my parents a lot and I look to them when I need help making a decision or am stuck in a rut. I cannot imagine working on a staff with all women! That sounds like a recipe for drama! Your son is beautiful by the way!

  5. Hi Natasha!
Just from the photos alone I can see that you are a very family oriented person and have a close knit family which is good. I love to see photos they really give a wonderful visual aid. I love that you say the children are what keeps you and your co-workers going. And I also like that you mention that your relationships have turned into partnerships. Long-lasting relationships do turn over into partnerships. They become something you can count on. You gave great insight to the meaning of relationships and I enjoyed the photos!
